Stage 6 Solvang Time Trial

Solvang is a unique and very interesting Danish town full of great bakeries (think Danish pastries), interesting architecture including windmills and wonderful terrain tailor made for a professional time trial.

For most of us, it was a recovery day with an easy paced ride around the time trial course at about 9am. John Burrell had planned otherwise and rode the time trial in the amateur race, coming in 13th overall. Way to go, John! I don't know how you had the legs, energy or motivation to do it!

TJ suffered a mystery crash today. Going down in the parking lot for no apparent reason, he whacked his head pretty well. Following a check up at the local hospital, all was well, other than the need to purchase a new helmet. Following the time trial, we had a long transfer to Los Angeles, our home for the next two nights. Our van got off on the wrong track and we ended up spending 5 hours getting to our destination at LA Live. Still, we were off our feet!
